Gallman Road Bridge

 

·  Location: Pedestrian Trail over Raccoon Creek, Newark, Ohio

·  Manufacturer: Columbia Bridge Works, Dayton, Ohio

·  Span: single span 152’ with a 50’ ramp added at the new location.

·  Width: Originally 15’ but narrowed to 12’

·  Material: Wrought Iron

 

Relocated to the pedestrian trail over Raccoon Creek, Newark, Ohio. Built in 1887 by the Columbia Bridge Works in Dayton, Ohio with Double Intersecting Pratt or Whipple Through Truss. The wording on the shield reads: “ The Columbia Bridge Co., successors, to  D.H. and C.C Morrison.”  Original foundations of stone, new location are concrete. J.B. Riddel project engineer and manager.
